This website is a political advocacy project. We believe you should be able to read about your council member's record without anyone keeping a record on you. This page explains, plainly, what this site does and does not do with information about its visitors.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. This site has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment sections, no newsletters, and no payment processing. We do not collect, store, or share names, email addresses, or any other personal information from visitors. We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not set cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for exactly one thing: remembering that you dismissed our cookie notice so it does not reappear on every visit. That preference stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

Server logs and hosting

Like nearly every website, the servers that deliver these pages may automatically log basic technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Those logs are generated by our hosting provider for security and operations, and we do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

Third-party services

• Fonts. The main page loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives the technical details of that request (such as your IP address). Google states that its Fonts service does not use cookies. The campaign finance page at /funding/ embeds its fonts and data directly and makes no third-party requests at all.
• Outbound links. This site links to external sources such as news outlets and public records. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

About the campaign finance data

The donor information published on our Who Funds Zo Qadri page comes from campaign finance reports filed with the Office of the Austin City Clerk, which are public records under Texas law. That page republishes and analyzes information the law already makes public; it does not add private information about any individual.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and, as described above, does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices ever change, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Because we collect nothing today, any future change could only add practices, never quietly expand them.
